Located at 13500 S Pleasant Valley Rd in Kuna, ID, ISCI carefully assigns inmates based on their custody level, considering factors like criminal history. ISCI offers diverse educational and vocational programs aimed at equipping offenders for successful reintegration into society and reducing recidivism. The ISCI is a medium-security men's prison located south of Boise, with a capacity of 1,446 beds. Its reception and diagnostic unit (RDU) serves as the initial point of entry for all men entering Idaho's prison system. Additionally, the facility houses a medical unit and provides workspace for Correctional Industries' programs.
ISCI maintains a database of current inmates and their locations within the system. To locate an inmate, begin by using the DOC locator tool, which requires entering the first three letters of the inmate's first and last name, allowing for variations in spelling.
If unable to locate the desired information through free resources, users may opt to use the Arrest Record Search, which requires payment. While this option incurs a small fee, it provides access to the most up-to-date data available.

Medical Note: Residents assigned to a medical unit may visit with prior approval from the visiting supervisor during the regular hours listed above. If a resident is unable to leave his unit, the visit must be approved by the warden and scheduled in advance.
