All prisons and jails have Security or Custody levels depending on the inmate’s classification, sentence, and criminal history. Please review the rules and regulations for State juvenile - minimum facility.

IYC-Pere Marquette represents a groundbreaking approach within the Illinois juvenile justice system, serving as a level three, minimum security male facility with an open campus. Juvenile facilities overseen by the State of Illinois do not publish the names of the offenders housed in their facility. As such, there is no public forum for this information.

On the first visit to any Illinois Youth Center, the visitors will be required to have a photo identification, such as a driver's license, a state identification card, or acceptable documentation of non-US citizen including a current passport, Visa, or Matricula, and documentation that includes their social security numbers if US citizens, and date of birth.
Please have two forms of identification; one should be a photo ID for additional visits.
