The St. Charles County MO Corrections Center is a detention center located at 301 North 2nd St St. Charles, MO which is operated locally by the St. Charles County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. St. Charles County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, St. Charles Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

This facility was built in 1989 and has the capacity of 592 prisoners. It is a maximum security second generation jail. Current population distribution consists of inmates awaiting trial, committed / sentenced, state prisoners and holds for other jurisdictions including local municipalities as well as federal inmates. Individuals are held here on a wide variety of offenses ranging from misdemeanor traffic offenses to murder in the first degree. The maximum sentence anyone can serve at this facility is 1 year per individual case, however, some individuals have been held here longer waiting to go to trial.

Inmate Visitation Inmates are allowed one, 60-minute visit every other week. The day and time of their visit depends on the inmate’s housing and cell assignment. The maximum number of visitors is 4 per inmate and inmates must notify their visitors of visitation requirements.
