Lampasas County Sheriff’s Department operates this correctional facility under the supervision of a Sheriff. Launched in 1873, the Lampasas county jail has an inmate holding capacity of 42. The operations of the facility are managed by seven full-time, highly-trained, and qualified staff members.

Lampasas County Jail - Visitation

The jail has strict rules that require every inmate to send an inmate visiting application and get approved before they set out to visit their loved ones held in their cells. The jail visits are primarily conducted on a televised screen or in-person behind glass. Children visiting inmates in Lampasas Jail must come with their guardians or parents. Every guardian visiting the Lampasas County Jail with a kid must prove guardianship; otherwise, they might be denied access to their incarcerated loved ones.
