The LaSalle Co Jail is a detention center located at 707 E Etna Rd Ottawa, IL which is operated locally by the La Salle County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. La Salle County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Ottawa Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. LaSalle County Jail is a county jail used by the jurisdictions of LaSalle to confine inmates for short periods while awaiting trial or processing. It is classed as a medium-security facility. It has a capacity of 306 beds. As inmates are staying for only a short period, it has fewer amenities than a prison. Inmates do, however, have access to bathroom facilities and are provided with meals during their stay and also have a common area in which inmates can socialize.

*Inmates may receive written\typed letters, greeting cards (no musical cards or cards that have things glued\taped to them), and pictures (cannot contain nudity\suggestive content, no gang signs, and no alcohol\drugs). Drawings or coloring book pictures are not allowed, no lipstick, no stickers\tape, no internet\email printed material, or song lyrics.

*Newspaper subscriptions may be mailed to the inmate from the publisher.

*Paperback books to read are allowed in as donations only and must be mailed here from a publisher, book store, etc… Inmates may have up to 3 books at a time. The books will be delivered to the inmate but must be put on the book cart when they are done reading it. Books cannot be sexual in nature\content, cannot contain nude photos, and no pictures of drugs\drug use, and no gang references.

*Inmates are allowed to keep as their own, and does not count toward their 3 books, a Bible, Koran, or other religious books, and NA or AA Books.

*Money may be deposited online at jailatm.com or in the jail lobby via kiosk, which accepts cash or credit\debit cards. We do not accept checks of any type and do not accept any money, in any form, through the mail, it will be returned to the sender.

*Inmate Phone Calls are $0.21 a minute plus applicable fees\taxes. You may deposit funds for phone calls in the blue kiosk in the jail lobby, at inmatesales.com or by calling 877-998-5678. Inmates may also use funds from their commissary account to purchase phone time (debit time).

Visitation Information

LaSalle County Jail - Visitation

*Visiting is all done through video and is available Saturday through Wednesday from 9:00 A.m. to 8:00 P.M., each visit is limited to 30 minutes. In facility visits must be scheduled at least the day before, a valid government-issued ID is required for in-facility visits. You can schedule visits online at https://customer.cidnet.net by clicking video call. Visits may also be done using any internet-capable device with a camera and microphone for $0.30\MB, home visits do not have to be scheduled ahead of time.

Everyone is allowed two in facility visits per week, there is no limit on the number of visits from home. If you do not have access to the internet to schedule a visit you may use the computer in the jail lobby to access https://customer.cidnet.net.

IMPORTANT: All visitors to the LaSalle County Jail must present photo identification with a date of birth to be authorized to visit. The only exception to this rule are minors accompanied by an adult. No one under the age of eighteen (18) will be permitted visitation rights unless accompanied by an adult.

  1. All visits are recorded and monitored for inappropriate behavior. Visitors and inmates participating in behavior that may be inappropriate, offensive or involve criminal activity during a visit will have the visit immediately terminated.
  2. Visitors and inmates participating in behavior that may be inappropriate, offensive or involve criminal activity during a visit will be blocked from future visit access at the LCADF.
  3. All visitors are subject to search at any time.
  4. All visitors’ personal property, except for car keys, must be left in their vehicle. Failure to do so will result in the items being confiscated and the visit terminated.
  5. No cell phone, camera, or electronic recording equipment is allowed.
  6. All visitors must sign in using a picture ID prior to the visit.
  7. All visits will last no longer than 30 minutes.
  8. Any child under the age of seventeen (17) must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  9. All visitors must be seventeen (17) years of age or older unless accompanied by a parent/guardian. The parent or guardian must be physically present or the visit will be terminated.
  10. No weapons, drugs, or contraband will be displayed during the visit. Any violators will be prosecuted.

DRESS CODE FOR VISITATION

  1. All clothing must be worn appropriately
  2. No dresses may be worn
  3. Proper undergarments must be worn at all times
  4. No halter tops, tube tops, sleeveless tops, midriff tops, tank tops or see-through clothing will be allowed.
  5. Any violation of the dress code will result in the termination of the visit and the visitor will be blocked from future visit access at the LCADF.
