The CMRCF is a low/medium-security detention center located at 33714 MS Hwy 35 Vaiden, MS which is operated locally by the Carroll Montgomery Regional Authority and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates have been here for less than five years. CMRCF accepts inmates from the Carroll Montgomery County Sheriff's arrests and surrounding towns, Vaiden Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. The CMRCF, situated in Vaiden, MS, caters to Carroll and Montgomery counties. It operates as a medium-security facility providing various educational and vocational opportunities for inmates, including GED and adult basic education programs. Inmates also have access to life skills courses and vocational classes aimed at equipping them with new skills for reintegration into society upon release. The facility's primary objective is to ensure the care, custody, and control of up to 250 adult male state inmates through a contractual agreement with the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).

State Visitation

MDOC Visitation is held on Saturday and Sunday

  • A-Zone visits the 1st and 3rd Saturday - 8:30 am - 11:30 am
  • B-Zone visits the 1st and 3rd Sunday - 8:30 am - 11:30 am
  • C-Zone visits the 1st and 3rd Saturday - 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
  • D-Zone visits the 1st and 3rd Sunday - 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
  • E-Zone visits the 1st and 3rd Sunday - 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
  • Minimum Custody (green and white) visit Friday - 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
  • Joint County/State Work Program inmates visit the 1st and 3rd Sunday - 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
  • No visitation on the 5th Saturday and Sunday of the month
  • No visitation on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month

County Visitation

  1. Visitation will be held on the first and third Wednesday of each month
  2. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and end at 2:00 pm
  3. There is a three-person limit per inmate
  4. Visitors must be on the approved visitation list
  5. Visitors may check in beginning at 12:30 pm
  6. If one visitor leaves, another visitor may take their spot for the remaining time
  • All visitors 14 and over must have a picture ID
  • Children under 13 and under must bring a copy of birth certificate
  • NO money allowed in the Visitation Room
