The Midland Co Jail is a detention center located at 101 Fast Ice Dr Midland, MI which is operated locally by the Midland County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Midland County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Midland Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Jail capacity is 274 beds. The podular design is state of the art, which includes open intake, pods for Trustees, Work Release, Females, Maximum Security, Medium Security and Direct Supervision. Each pod is equipped with its own classroom, video visitation station and an indoor/outdoor recreation room.

Midland Inmates

The Sheriff's Office offers two ways to deposit funds into inmate's accounts.

  1. If you are at the Jail facility, you may deposit money into an inmate account by using the Canteen Kiosk which is conveniently located in the main lobby. The Kiosk accepts Cash or Credit. No money orders or checks.
  2. You can do it online from anywhere by going to www.expressaccount.com. Alternatively you can call them at 1-866-422-6833. You will need your credit or debit card, arrestee's name.
  3. To order commissary items by phone call: 1-888-634-0034 (Monday-Thursday 9:30am to 3:30pm)

On-Site Video Visitation

Inmates in the Midland County Jail can be visited in the jail or at home through video visitation.

Visits are self-scheduled in advance online according to approved visitation hours. Go online to: www.securustech.net/videovisitation and follow the prompts. If you do not own a computer, you can come into the lobby area of the Midland County Jail to schedule your visit. Your loved one is notified of the scheduled visit in advance and will be able to check in at the time of the visit.

Each inmate is allowed 1 , (jail) visit per week free of charge. In house (jail) visitors must have the monitor number and pin number given to them by Securus once they have scheduled their visit to log onto the monitor. You must also bring a valid ID with you.

Visits from home have a charge but are not restricted on how many times per week.

Getting started is easy!

  • To Begin using Securus Video Visitation, you must first create a Securus Online account. Go to: Securustech.net/VideoVisitation and click "Sign Up" to create your account and add Video Visitation today. You will be required to submit information such as your name, address, and photo identification.
  • Once your account is created and validated, you will need to request access to one or more facilities that offer Securus Video Visitation.
  • Once approved by the correctional facility, you can begin scheduling your Securus Video Visitation sessions.
