Phone Calls to a New Hampshire Inmate | State Prisons and County Jails

How to call a New Hampshire DOC inmate. ViaPath ConnectNetwork statewide. AdvancePay, PIN Debit, tablets, video visits all through GTL Site ID 222.

New Hampshire's state prison phone system runs entirely through one platform. The New Hampshire Department of Corrections (NHDOC) uses ConnectNetwork by GTL - now ViaPath Technologies - for phone calls, messaging, tablets, and video visitation at all state facilities.

New Hampshire has 10 counties, each operating its own jail with independent phone contracts.

NHDOC uses "inmates" in communications-related materials and "residents" in program and services materials.

PART 1 - NHDOC STATE PRISONS

Phone vendor: ViaPath Technologies (GTL / ConnectNetwork)

ConnectNetwork Site ID for all NHDOC facilities: 222

The official NHDOC communications page states: "NHDOC use a contracted 3rd party service ConnectNetwork by GTL (Now Viapath) for most forms of inmate communication."

Services available through ConnectNetwork for NHDOC (Site ID 222):

- AdvancePay Phone (prepaid calling tied to your phone number)

- PIN Debit (inmate-funded calling)

- Trust Fund deposits

- Community Corrections payments

- Messaging (electronic messaging via tablets)

- Visitation Scheduling

- Video Visitation (through GTL VisitMe)

How NHDOC phone calls work

Inmates place outgoing calls only. They cannot receive incoming calls. The inmate calls from a facility phone or tablet to numbers on their approved phone list. All non-legal calls are monitored and recorded. Attorney calls are confidential.

Setting up a ConnectNetwork account

Online: connectnetwork.com (enter Site ID 222 for NHDOC facilities)

Automated IVR: 1-800-483-8314 (account setup, payments, balance check - 24 hours)

Customer care: 1-877-650-4249

Account types:

AdvancePay (prepaid collect): You create and fund an account tied to your phone number. When the inmate calls your number, costs are deducted from your balance. Works for all phone types including cell phones. Set up at connectnetwork.com, by IVR (1-800-483-8314), or through customer care (1-877-650-4249).

PIN Debit: The inmate funds calls directly from their trust/commissary account. They can call any approved number. Families can deposit funds into the inmate's trust account through ConnectNetwork; inmate then uses those funds for calls.

Important: AdvancePay account inactivity policy (effective June 1, 2026)

ViaPath updated its AdvancePay inactivity policy effective June 1, 2026:

- An account becomes inactive after 180 consecutive days of no use.

- Once inactive, you have an additional 90 days to request a refund.

- After the 90-day refund window, remaining balance is converted to audio calling minutes in ViaPath's Free Calling Program and is no longer available for refund.

- To request a refund: call 877-650-4249.

- If you receive calls regularly, the 180-day period resets with each use.

Rate

The current per-minute rate is not published directly on the NHDOC communications page or on the ConnectNetwork NHDOC facility page. New Hampshire was not identified as a state above the FCC 2025 IPCS Order caps (only FL, KY, OK were above the caps), so the current rate is at or below $0.12/min for state prisons.

Verify the current rate at connectnetwork.com before adding funds, or call 1-800-483-8314 for rate information.

Video visitation

Video visits are managed through GTL VisitMe. To schedule and register, visit nhdoc.gtlvisitme.com/app. A ConnectNetwork account is used for payment.

NHDOC facilities

New Hampshire operates three state correctional facilities plus minimum-security units:

New Hampshire State Prison for Men (NHSP) - Concord

NH Correctional Facility for Women (NHCFW) - Concord

Northern NH Correctional Facility (NNHCF) - Berlin

Shea Farm Transitional Housing Unit - women's minimum security

Additional minimum-security units

Family Resource Centers (FCC) are located at all three state prisons and minimum-security units. The FCC is a resource for families to get support and information.
