The Perry County AR Detention Center is a detention center located at 105 North Fourche Ave
PO Box 146 Perryville, AR which is operated locally by the Perry County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Perry County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Perryville Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Detention Officers are responsible for the receiving and intake procedures for all inamtes. This includes computer book-in, fingerprinting, photographing, searching, change-out, and housing cell block assignment. The Jailer also deals personally with inmates in the housing areas. All persons who are arrested and taken into custody are transported to the Detention Center for booking and incarceration. The Detention Center is divided into separate housing areas for low/medium security risk males, high security risk males, and female inmates, as well as isolation and temporary holding cells. The Detention Center houses both pre-trial detainees and post-conviction inmates who are serving sentences or awaiting transport to the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
