The Ramsey Co ADC is a detention center located at 425 Grove St St. Paul, MN which is operated locally by the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Ramsey County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, St. Paul Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals. You can see all the arrest records for Minnesota here.

The Adult Detention Center (ADC) is a 500-bed pre-trial facility providing safe and secure detention services to individuals following their arrest until a court disposition is reached. Additionally, the ADC houses individuals being held for probation or parole violations.

Opened in December 2003, the ADC currently employs nearly 150 detention, law enforcement, and medical staff. The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office operates the ADC under state law.

Bail is money provided to the court as a promise to appear in court, and it can be paid at the ADC's 24-hour lobby window. Only cash for the exact amount of the bail is accepted; credit cards, checks, or money orders are not accepted. Posting bail allows individuals to remain out-of-custody until their court date. Alternatively, individuals may choose to go through a bonding agency to secure bond, which is money or property pledged as a promise to appear in court. The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office does not recommend specific bonding agencies.
