Rio Blanco County Detention Center is for County Jail offenders sentenced up to twenty four months.

All prisons and jails have Security or Custody levels depending on the inmate’s classification, sentence, and criminal history. Please review the rules and regulations for County - medium facility.

The Rio Blanco County Detention Center is a detention center located at 555 Main St PO Box 1460 Meeker, CO which is operated locally by the Rio Blanco County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Rio Blanco County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Meeker Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals. You can see all the arrest records for Colorado here.

Thursday 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Sunday 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM
Visits are non-contact and limited to 20 minutes.

Detention Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Rio Blanco County Detention Center to provide a safe and secure confinement to all persons remanded to the custody of the Sheriff's office. The Detention Center services the secure detention needs of the criminal justice community, together with public safety needs for the citizens of Rio Blanco County. This is accomplished by providing housing for pretrial detainees and sentenced persons in a direct supervision environment. All incarcerations are managed by policies that hold the inmates accountable for their behavior. The Rio Blanco County Detention Center is committed to the principles of basic human rights and dignity afforded all persons incarcerated, as embodied within the Constitutions of the United States and the State of Colorado.

NOTE: All inmates are issued a handbook upon entering the facility that explains the detention center rules, the inmate's rights and responsibilities.

BOND FEE:
ALL Bonds completed by Detention Center/Sheriff's Office Staff $10.00
Statute 30-1-104 Fees for Sheriff
NOTE: Unless paid by the Defendant at the time of bonding, this fee will be paid by the Bonding Company or Surety at the time of bonding. Exception: Fees on Faxed Bonds can be charged to a bonding company only.

UPS FEE:
Useful Public service Fee $ 75.00
This is a mandatory fee for all sentenced Defendants.

WORK RELEASE FEE:
Work Release Fee Charged Per Day $ 40.00
Defendants who are required to serve a consecutive sentence however are allowed by court order to leave the custody of the Detention Center will be charged a daily fee for the costs of releasing and rebooking.

BOOKING FEE:
Booking Fee for Each Booking from the same sentence $ 40.00
Defendants who are allowed to serve partial sentences over certain periods of time instead of serving a consecutive sentence (ie: Weekend Sentences) will be charged a booking fee each time they are re-booked to serve any part of their sentence. This fee is required prior to the beginning of serving any part of the sentence.

D.O.C. HOLD:
Department of Corrections Hold Per Day Fee $ 49.69

OUTSIDE AGENCY HOLD:
Daily fee for holding inmates who have no Rio Blanco County charges $ 50.00
