The RCCC is a detention center located at 55 New Hempstead Rd New City, NY which is operated locally by the Rockland County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Rockland County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, New City Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals. You can see all the arrest records for New York here.

The RCCC is dedicated to providing detention facilities for individuals over the age of 16, whether awaiting trial or serving sentences of one year or less as mandated by the judiciary.

Furthermore, the center ensures a secure, safe, and well-managed environment for individuals temporarily removed from society until legally released, prioritizing their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.

Designed, managed, administered, and staffed with meticulous care, the facility supports the needs of staff, inmates, and visitors alike. It guarantees the provision of basic human necessities such as food, clothing, shelter, and health care, alongside access to religious services, recreational activities, and family visitation.

Moreover, the center offers counseling, education, and release preparation services to facilitate the incarcerated individuals' successful reintegration into the community. By addressing these fundamental needs and providing comprehensive support services, the Rockland County Correctional Center endeavors to foster a rehabilitative environment that promotes positive outcomes for all stakeholders involved.
