ail Information

The Todd County Sheriff’s Office operates a 52 bed Detention Center that holds inmates on a variety of charges. Some of the inmates are serving sentences and others are being held while they await their court appearances. The Detention Center also holds inmates for other Counties that either do not have their own jail or do not have adequate space for their own inmates.

The Detention Center has four dormitory style cells and four cellblocks that have individual cells. Some of these cells have bunks and can hold two inmates; the others are single rooms. Additionally, there are four holding cells, an interview room for people who are in custody, a booking room, and a separate room for running breath tests on people arrested for driving under the influence.

The inmates are monitored by security cameras and are checked on a scheduled basis by Jail Staff. Doors throughout the facility are constantly monitored and controlled in two different locations in the facility. Inmates are served three meals a day.

Include a return address on the envelope. All mail is checked for contraband prior to giving it to the inmate.

The Jail staff does not pass messages to the inmates. Any information that you want to get to an inmate must be done by phone, mail, or during visitation.
