Washington Co Jail is for County Jail offenders sentenced up to twenty four months.

The Washington Co Jail is a detention center located at 500 Western Maryland Pkwy Hagerstown, MD which is operated locally by the Washington County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Washington County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Hagerstown Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Visitation Information

Washington County MD Detention Center - Visitation

Visiting hours are available daily and Visits may only be scheduled online at Video Visitation, or at the Kiosk
located in the Detention Lobby. Users must have either a valid email address or a valid Drivers License issued through the Department of Motor Vehicle or other government-issued photo identification. Inmates are allowed 2 visits per week.

Up to 2 adult visitors and 2 children per visit.

Visitors must register prior to visits. Visits may be scheduled up to 7 days in advance. All visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellation of visits must be done at least two (2) days prior to the scheduled visit.
All visitors must check-in with the Officer at the Visitation desk. Inmates on disciplinary segregation are not permitted visits.

The detention center reserves the right to cancel visits at anytime.
