The Woodford Co Jail is a detention center located at 204 Beasley Drive Versailles, KY which is operated locally by the Woodford County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Woodford County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Versailles Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Visitation Information

  • All visits must be made by appointment only.
  • Visitors must call to schedule an appointment
    Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • An authorized visitor list is completed by the inmate prior to receiving a visit. This list may include a maximum of five visitors (children under12 do not need to be on the list) Only those persons authorized will be allowed to visit.
  • Inmates are allowed up to 40 minutes per week. They may receive 2 (two) Twenty Minute Visits or 1 (one) Forty Minute Visit. Class C and Class D inmates eligible to work in the community receive an additional one hour contact visit per week.
  • Adult visitors are required to have a picture ID or they will not be allowed to visit. Children under 18 are to be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. All visitors are subject to search of their person and/or property.

Visitation Times

  • Monday thru Thursday - 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Friday - 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 pm
  • Saturday - 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Sunday - 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • ** Sundays are reserved for State Inmates Class C and D eligible to work.
