As of March 18, 2020, registration and visitation rules have changed to protect inmates at Cherokee County AL Jail and their loved ones during the COVID-19 outbreak. At this time, there are no in-person visits for family and friends due to the COVID-19 situation. Video visitation is available; details can be found below or call 256-927-6435.
All visits are non-contact and conducted through a glass partition. This facility may also have a video visitation option, please call 256-927-6435 for more information and updates to the current rules and regulations.
Inmates are allowed 2 visitors per day
To see an inmate you must go to www.iwebvisit.com to set up account and appointment. You can not just show up at the Detention Center and just visit. On-site visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. Remote visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. Officers can not schedule for you. You can also call 1-775-434-8748 for assistance.
Every inmate gets a 15-minute on-site visit free a week. Remote visits are 20 minutes.
Unit 1 Non-Trustee - Sunday from 1pm to 3pm
Unit 1 Trustee - Sunday from 3pm to 5pm
Unit 2 - Saturday from 1pm to 3pm
Unit 3 - Sunday from 8am to 10am
Unit 4 - Saturday from 7:30am to 9:30am
Unit 5 - Saturday from 3pm to 5pm
Unit 6 - Saturday from 9:30am to 11am
Holding/Medical Infirmary inmates - Saturday from 3pm to 5pm
