Visiting hours for MCC are subject to change, so it's crucial to confirm them by contacting the facility directly by phone. Please reach out to 207-893-7000, on visitation procedures, applications, or directions to the facility in Windham. Please note that visitors will undergo a thorough search before entering the premises, and personal belongings, including cell phones, are strictly prohibited. Individuals under probation, parole, or community corrections supervision must obtain approval from both their supervising officer and the superintendent before visiting, although such visits are not typically approved.
Visiting a resident is by appointment only, regardless of age. Only visitors who are on the resident's approved visiting list will be permitted to visit. Visitors must arrive by their start time. Please allow up to 15 minutes before your visitation time for screening and processing.
Visitation Request Process
Download and print a blank Visitor Application or ask the resident you are visiting to mail one to you.
Complete the form and mail it to MCC via the United States Postal Service: Visit Office - Maine Correctional Center17 Mallison Falls Road, Windham, Maine 04062
ME DOC will run a background check for each requested visitor
Approved Visitor(s): Continue to step 4
Denied Visitor(s): MCC will mail a notice via USPS that explains the decision and how the applicant can become approved.
MCC will email information to the approved applicant. Be sure to include active, correctly-spelled email addresses in your Visitor Application.
