Life circumstances change and so do phone numbers. Whether you switched carriers, got a new number, or just need to update what is on file, the process is straightforward and does not cost anything.

One thing worth keeping in mind is that the phone number your inmate calls you on may also need to be updated on their approved contact list through the facility's phone provider. InmateAid and the prison phone system are separate platforms. Updating your number with InmateAid handles your account on our end, but if your old number was the one approved at the facility level you will also need to go through the phone provider to get the new number added to the inmate's call list. That process varies by provider and can take a few days to clear.
