Unfortunately there is no way to call your inmate directly to let them know. All calls must be initiated by the inmate from inside the facility. You cannot reach them by phone from the outside.
The fastest way to get a message to them is through a letter. A letter sent through InmateAid typically arrives within 2 to 3 business days via USPS. Write clearly that their phone account has been funded and that you are ready and waiting for their call.
If you have an upcoming scheduled visit telling them in person is the most direct option.
If there is a family member or friend who is already on your inmate's approved call list and has recently spoken with them, they may be able to pass the message along during their next call.
You can also try contacting the facility directly and asking to leave a message with the inmate's case manager. Not all facilities accommodate this request but some will pass along basic communication especially when it involves something straightforward like account funding.
Once your inmate does call make sure your number is already on their approved call list and that their account has sufficient funds to connect. If both of those are in place the call will go through the moment they dial your number.
