Im I crazy for writing inmates on penpal websites?

Hi do those who spend many years in jail like letters from pen pals who they have never met. I feel sorry for many behind bars who have made a big mistake and are regretting it and have to spend half or most of their life in jail. What is even more heart breaking is many are also innocent and are paying for someone else's mistake. I have just sent a letter to someone who claims his innocence who I seen on the dr phil show, but I do t know if the inmate will even answer it. What is your view? Thankyou kind regards Tracey

Inmates love pen pal letters. But be careful, they are experts at tugging on your heartstrings. They will get to know you and then start figuring out your soft spot and then ask for money. They are notorious for promising the world to their pen pals, just take it light and not expect too much from the "relationship". Just be careful.
