Prison is no joke. Taking it seriously and showing no emotion is the right attitude. With a 30-month sentence, she is most likely assigned to the camp which is a minimum-security federal prison. It's probably never going to reach the level of the stuff you'd see on Orange Is the New Black. My advice, use this time to work on herself; exercise, read, and write letters home. This is not the worse situation she could be in.

Very unlikely unless the COVID thing heats up again. The Feds are not responsive to "compassionate release" requests, even for those with terminal illnesses. She will do 85% of her sentence if she has no incident reports.

Carswell is federal and unless she qualifies for RDAP, she will do 85% of 30 months (which is 25.5 months). If she can get into RDAP, that will take a full 12 months off her 30-month sentence and give her 6 months of halfway house, too. The benefits are fantastic if she can get accepted into the Program.

Yes, you can try on your own, but there are some issues that might cause you to want to try out our Letters and Photos Service. Inmates find it difficult to send mail out of the country due to postage issues. Our Service allows you to write letters and send high-quality pictures through our app. The mail is delivered from Florida or California depending on the inmate's location. The inmate can then write you back to our address in Florida.
