In lea county Hobbs prion is there a line for the showers ? Or can they shower whenever they want ? & isn’t there alot of shower heads ? Or do you have to wait in line for one ??

They wait in line. There are limited shower heads and the allotted time for showers isn't all day, so they have to plan... and wait their turn

Can an inmate transfer their own money from securus to another inmates account??

No, it can only be changed by the owner of the account... outside of the prison

Subject: Prison jobs

What kinds of work do inmates do in prison? Are there jobs that sometimes are done without close supervision, for example, cleaning work that inmates do outside the cell or cell block?

Most inmates are required to have a job. There is plenty to do for those that are inclined to get into a routine that will make their time fly. The kitchen requires a lot of staffing, the orderly crews clean the prison, landscaping keeps the grounds manicured, commissary needs people, the chapel, the rec hall, education, the library, the barber...all require inmates to run their departments.

Is it expectable for an inmate to be in a relationship and have ways of meeting new people? I trust him I know he will come home to me but I can’t entertain him 24/7 and prison is a lonely place.

Don't even try to entertain him 24/7, it is impossible. Right now, he is testing you to see how far he can push you. What will you do for him? You have to set the rules and the boundaries. You need to make sure you are budgeting for YOUR life first. Inmates have a way to make the loved ones outside feel pity for them. Just remember that inmates have all day and night to think. Inmates are very creative

I’m am checking myself in to the facility on January 21st. Are you allowed to wear your own shoes if they are white with velcro straps? Also I was concerned about having my inhaler. I have asthma and I use it daily. Will they allow me to bring it?

I would like to know how many calls can an inmate make per day and if it is policy for them to be locked in 23 hours a day and allowed only 1 hour out per day in a certain area in Baltimore county detention center ?

The 23-hour lockdown is real, but some cells have a payphone in them. If that is the case then there are no limits (except the prepaid money on their books).

What do I need to be prepared for since my fiance has been locked up for 20plus years

20 years! WOW, you are the "ride or die" girl. Think about the world 20 years ago, cell phones had no texting. The internet had no social media. Technology will shock him. He is going to take some time before things can go back to a normal relationship like before.

Yes was trying to find out what in the world an inmate at a county jail could be spending around $400 to $500 in a week on?

There are only a few places an inmate can spend money on, but be mindful that everything is super-expensive. starting with the phone calls... In my first month away, my wife spent over $6000, which translates into a lot more than $500/wk. Commissary is another area where an inmate can spend $200/wk easily if it is in their account. If there are daily fees from the jail, medical charges or fines, they could be debited from the inmate's account, too.
