The BOP resets that allotment on the same date every month, but that reset date is specific to each inmate and is set by the BOP when the inmate first enters the system. You will have to let them know either by mail, by visiting or by speaking to a staff member and politely ask if they will relay the new number to your inmate (this is only 50% effective as they usually decline)

This is where the lawyers go to get their documents filed and research the filings in the case. There might be a nominal fee to print out any information you are requesting.
