There is a period of time between the sentencing and the designation where it is decided what the offender's custody level is, and where they have bed space. It is not something that is made public until AFTER the inmate has been delivered to that facility for the safety of the corrections officer and the transported inmates.

It means that a judge in some county in Indiana has signed a fugitive arrest warrant stemming from a Grand Jury Indictment. Normally, the Sheriff in Louisiana is notified or sees the warrant in the NCIC when booking him in and will "hold" the offender until the Indiana county people come to pick him up and transport him to an Indiana jail.

Yes, and the process is built directly into your InmateAid account. When you send a letter through InmateAid, the return address on the envelope is InmateAid's Florida address. Your inmate writes their reply on paper, addresses it to that Florida address, and mails it out through the facility's regular outgoing mail with a postage stamp. InmateAid receives the letter, scans it, and places it in your account under a section called Inmate Response Letters in your Account Dashboard.
