Plan on one to two weeks. New arrivals at FCI McDowell who are destined for the camp typically go through a quarantine period in the SHU first before being released over to the camp side. Yes, the Beto unit at Tennessee Colony is a TDCJ state prison facility. Being sent there rather than an ISF means he is serving his violation time in a full prison setting rather than the shorter Intermediate Sanction Facility program that was initially recommended. This does happen. Recommendations made by parole officers or review boards are not always the final word. Yes. Phone calls from your father to you should not create a problem, even with a warrant in your name. Prison phone calls are recorded and monitored, but a warrant for someone on the receiving end of a call does not automatically flag the call or block the communication.
