USP McCreary is a federal Bureau of Prisons facility, and InmateAid offers several services that make a real difference for inmates and their families there.
On the phone side, federal inmates at McCreary get 300 minutes per month through the BOP system, with that allotment bumping up to 400 minutes in November and December for the holidays. Every call costs either $0.06 per minute for local numbers or $0.21 per minute for long distance numbers, with the money coming out of the inmate's TRULINCS account.
InmateAid provides a local number for USP McCreary so every call your inmate makes hits the $0.06 rate regardless of where you actually live. On 300 minutes a month the difference between local and long distance is $45 in savings. The InmateAid line currently runs $8.95 per month, which means the net monthly savings is over $36. If the inmate transfers to a new facility, InmateAid replaces the number at no charge so the savings follow them.
Beyond the phone service, InmateAid also handles letters, photos, postcards, and greeting cards sent through USPS directly to McCreary. Everything goes out as physical mail that your inmate holds in their hands at mail call. Magazine subscriptions are also available through the platform, with titles sent directly from the publisher to the facility.
If you want to get started with the phone service or have questions about any of the other services for USP McCreary specifically, email aid@inmateaid.com and the team can walk you through setup.
