What time does an inmate get released?

What time does an inmate get released? My husband is supposed to be released tomorrow. He's an immigrant. He said if immigration don't go looking for him he's free. But if they do go, they will take him to court for judge to decide. My question is, what time do they get released? He's there in MDC Brooklyn, but he's home is here in Chicago. If family can't pick him up, how can he get home?

Inmate in federal custody are released in the early morning - weekdays only. There are normally arrangements made in advance before the date of release. If the inmate has halfway house or supervised release, there is a component to that as well. The BOP usually arranges for a bus ticket and a ride from the "town driver" from the facility to the depot.
