Why Was My Inmate Removed From InmateAid and Why Are My Sent Letters Not Showing Up

Why would an inmate be removed for this site? Also, all of the previous letters sent are not showing up in “Letters Sent”. Usually, it shows all previous correspondence.

These are two separate questions and both have straightforward explanations.

Why an inmate might not appear on InmateAid

Inmate profiles are occasionally removed at the request of the individual or their family, particularly when someone has been released and no longer wants their information publicly visible. Profiles may also be updated or temporarily unavailable during data refresh periods. If your loved one's profile has disappeared it does not necessarily mean anything has happened to them inside the facility.

Why your sent letters are not showing up

InmateAid has never purged its letters database in over 13 years of operation. Every letter ever sent through the platform is still in the system. If your previous correspondence is not visible the most common explanation by far is that you are logged into a different account than the one you originally used to send those letters.

In today's world most people have multiple email addresses and it is very easy to create a second account without realizing it. Your letters are almost certainly attached to a different email address than the one you are currently logged in with.

To locate your letters send us an email at aid@inmateaid.com with your name and your inmate's name. We will search the database and help you locate your correspondence and reunite it with your current account.
