The J. Aaron Hawkins Sr. Center, previously known as the Hawkins Center for Women, is a medium custody facility situated in Pulaski County and operated by the Arkansas Department of Corrections. Housing over 200 female and 200 male inmates, it stands as one of the few ADC facilities accommodating female inmates.

The Hawkins Center offers various education and substance abuse programs tailored to inmate needs. Among its initiatives are the Pathway to Freedom program and the Even Start Family Literacy Program, which underscores the significance of reading. Additionally, parenting programs are available to help male and female inmates understand the importance of effective parenting. The center also participates in the PAWS in Prison program, enabling inmates to engage with animals.

Operational activities include the Advanced Principles and Applications for Life (APAL) program, Dance 2B Free, Mental Health Classes, MIWATCH, the Think Legacy Program, and Work Release, aiming to support rehabilitation and skill-building among inmates.
