The Cheatham Co Jail is a detention center located at 200 Court Sq Ashland City, TN which is operated locally by the Cheatham County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Cheatham County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Ashland City Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. The Cheatham County Jail operates continuously throughout the year, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Outside of regular business hours, all incoming phone calls are automatically routed to the jail's main line. For inquiries not specifically related to jail matters, callers will be redirected to the jail's administrative department. In cases where immediate assistance is required, individuals are advised to contact the Dispatch center directly at (615) 792-2098. It is important to note that the jail does not accept packages for inmates under any circumstances.

Males: Saturday, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Protective Custody Visits: Saturday & Sunday, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Females: Saturday, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Public Visits:
Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
At-Home Visits
