Federal Correctional Institution, Cumberland (FCI Cumberland) is a medium-security federal prison located in western Maryland, FCI Cumberland houses male inmates and includes a satellite prison camp for minimum-security transgender offenders.

Inmates at FCI Cumberland are accommodated in two-person and three-person cells within the main facility and in dormitory barracks at the camp. The facility also operates a license plate manufacturing center where inmates produce license plates for federal government vehicles.

Educational opportunities include GED, ESL, parenting, pre-release, and employment preparation classes, as well as high school diplomas and post-secondary programs through correspondence.

Advanced occupational education programs at FCI Cumberland include carpentry, drywall, dog training, pet grooming, and veterinary assistant training. The facility also offers apprenticeships in various fields such as baking, carpentry, maintenance, cooking, electrical maintenance, HVAC, landscaping, painting, and welding.
