Located at 600 S Linwood Rd in Galesburg, IL, Hill CC carefully assigns inmates based on their custody level, considering factors like criminal history. Hill CC offers diverse educational and vocational programs aimed at equipping offenders for successful reintegration into society and reducing recidivism. Hill Correctional Center, nestled in the southwest corner of Galesburg, spans 71 acres of land, with 38 acres enclosed within its security fences. The facility comprises 29 buildings, including housing units, a reception and orientation center, a segregation unit, and an infirmary. With a focus on rehabilitation and skill development, Hill CC offers inmates various opportunities for education, vocational training, and personal growth.
Participating in the correctional industries work program, inmates at Hill Correctional Center engage in processing milk, juice, and meat, contributing to their skill development and potential for future employment. Academic programs are also emphasized, with courses available to prepare inmates for the GED examination and provide them with adult basic education. Additionally, pre-GED classes offer foundational education to support inmates in their academic pursuits.
Vocational skills training plays a vital role in preparing inmates for successful reintegration into society upon release. At Hill CC, vocational programs encompass custodial maintenance and various career technologies, equipping individuals with valuable job skills and enhancing their employability prospects post-incarceration.

Effective June 8, 2023, in-person visiting hours will be as follows:
Video Visitation - Video visitation hours are Sunday through Saturday 8:30a to 2:30p and 4:00p to 5:30p. Visitors should log on 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
