The GCCF is a low/medium-security detention center located at 154 Industrial Park Rd Lucedale, MS which is operated locally by the George Regional Authority and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates have been here for less than five years. GCCF accepts inmates from the George County Sheriff's arrests and surrounding towns, Lucedale Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement. Those who are not released await their court appearances at the jail, receiving accommodations including bedding and meals. You can see all the arrest records for Mississippi here.

The GCRCF commenced operations in May 2002, with the primary aim of providing care, custody, and control for up to 280 adult male state inmates under a contractual agreement with the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC). Additionally, the facility accommodates 154 male and/or female pre-trial inmates from various agencies.

Inmate commissary procedures at GCRCF mandate that inmates cannot possess currency and must conduct transactions through www.tigerdeposits.com. Funds for commissary items, including personal hygiene products and food, are limited to a weekly maximum expenditure of $150 per offender. Credits for photo and email services are added upon request from the housed inmate to their outside contact.

Regarding inmate telephone use, GCRCF provides tablets for inmates to engage in video chats, with calls limited to 15 minutes for $0.50 per minute. Telephone calls can be either collect or prepaid, with prepaid accounts established by contacting City TeleCoin. State inmate calls cost $0.11 per minute, while county inmate calls cost $0.35 per minute, with an additional $0.21 per minute for out-of-state calls. All inmate telephone conversations are subject to monitoring and recording.
