LARC and Lexington Correctional Center (LCC) form a prison complex in Lexington, Oklahoma. LARC serves as the state's intake facility for male inmates, with a capacity of 1,462 individuals, while LCC, a medium-security facility with a minimum yard, accommodates 870 inmates for long-term incarceration.

All male prisoners sentenced in Oklahoma are initially processed at Lexington Assessment & Reception Center. Here, ODOC staff assess inmates, review their sentencing documents, and determine their placement in state facilities based on their risk and needs assessments.

The complex houses a 24-7 infirmary providing intensive medical care. LCC features a specialized dialysis unit, the state's only one, capable of serving 12 inmates per shift. Staffed with medical professionals, including CCH Techs, registered nurses, and an on-site nephrologist, the unit operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, ensuring inmates receive necessary care.

Established in 1971 and 1977, respectively, LCC and LARC offer various job opportunities for medium and minimum-security offenders. Minimum-security inmates participate in the Prisoner Public Work Program, engaging in work assignments with agencies such as the City of Noble, the City of Lexington, and others. Additionally, LARC hosts the Lexington Career Tech Skills Center, providing vocational training for medium-security yard students. Notably, the cabinet-making apprenticeship program offers comprehensive training in woodwork and design, emphasizing safety in all aspects of the trade.

A unique program at LCC, Friends for Folks, partnered with Second Chance Animal Rescue, aids long-term offenders by involving them in dog training. Inmates train dogs donated to local nursing homes as companion animals, offering both rehabilitation and service to the community.

Inmate Locator

LARC maintains a database of current inmates and their locations within the system. To locate an inmate, begin by using the DOC locator tool, which requires entering the first three letters of the inmate's first and last name, allowing for variations in spelling.

If unable to locate the desired information through free resources, users may opt to use the Arrest Record Search, which requires payment. While this option incurs a small fee, it provides access to the most up-to-date data available.

Visitation Information

An inmate's security level dictates how many hours he or she may visit with approved visitors.

Lexington Assessment and Reception Center will be conducting Saturday and Sunday visitation on a first come, first serve basis and will be based on level.

Visitation Days:

Saturday: Last names A-L
Sunday: Last names M-Z

Times:

Level 1 - One hour per week
Level 2 - Two hours per week, Saturdays and Sundays
Level 3 - Four hours per week starting at 11 a.m. Saturdays or Sundays
Level 4 - Six hours per week starting at 9 a.m. Saturdays or Sundays

Level 1 inmates will have to submit an inmate request to the Chief of Security the previous week and will receive a 1 hour non-contact visit if approved by both the Chief of Security and Facility Head.

Important Note: All inmate visitors must submit a “Visitor Request Form." You can download a copy here, or request one from the facility. Background checks will be completed on everyone 18 or older. The inmate will notify you when the process is complete. The approval process takes approximately 8 weeks once the Visitor Request Form has been returned to LARC

Ask The Inmate

Ask a former inmate questions at no charge. The inmate answering has spent considerable time in the federal prison system, state and county jails, and in a prison that was run by the private prison entity CCA. Ask your question or browse previous questions in response to comments or further questions of members of the InmateAid community.
