The Plumas County Correctional Center is a detention center located at 1400 East Main St Quincy, CA which is operated locally by the Plumas County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Plumas County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, Quincy Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service.

New detainees arrive at the jail regularly, with some being released on bail, placed under pretrial services caseloads, supervised by probation agencies, or released on recognizance with a court appearance agreement.   1. A current, valid form of identification is required to enter the Correctional Facility. If you do not have a valid ID you will be asked to leave the premises.
  2. If you have recently been released from the Plumas County Correctional Facility, you will be denied entry to visitation for a period of 30 days.
  3. Leave all items, excluding ID, in your vehicle. Failure to do so may result in your removal from the facility. This is to include all cellular and recording devices. If paperwork needs to be signed by the inmate during the visitation, please notify a correctional officer beforehand.
  4. Dress appropriately for all visitation visits. Those not appropriately dressed will not be allowed to visit until suitable attire can be acquired. Exposing of breasts or genitalia will result in immediate removal from the facility and a ban from visitation.
  5. All minors wishing to visit must have a parent or legal guardian for supervision.
