Leath Correctional is for State Prison offenders sentenced anywhere from one year to life by the State Court in the county where the charges were filed
All prisons and jails have Security or Custody levels depending on the inmate’s classification, sentence, and criminal history. Please review the rules and regulations for State - medium facility.

In terms of industries, Leath CI hosts a private-sector plant specializing in the manufacturing of t-shirts, providing vocational opportunities for inmates and producing apparel for institutional use.
Healthcare services at Leath CI encompass routine medical, mental health, and dental care, ensuring 24-hour medical coverage for the well-being of inmates.
A wide array of programs are available to inmates, including religious services, self-paced education, peer support, sober living initiatives, parenting classes, substance abuse recovery programs, recreational activities, job readiness training, and violence prevention workshops. Leath Correctional maintains a database of current inmates and their locations within the system. To locate an inmate, begin by using the DOC locator tool, which requires entering the first three letters of the inmate's first and last name, allowing for variations in spelling.
If unable to locate the desired information through free resources, users may opt to use the Arrest Record Search, which requires payment. While this option incurs a small fee, it provides access to the most up-to-date data available.

Visitation is now open on Saturdays and Sundays for all institutions not on covid quarantine.
Visits must be scheduled ahead of time on the SCDC/GTL scheduler. If you have not created an account, click here to do so.

Visits will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be scheduled in 2-hour blocks. General population inmates with visitation privileges will be allowed four in-person visits per month.
Inmates may have one visit per weekend and up to four visits per month.
Inmates may have up to four visitors at a time, one of which must be an adult. Children of all ages can visit. Children age 10 and older must have a government-issued photo ID to visit. Children age nine and younger must show a long-form birth certificate.
