Southern Regional Jail is for Regional Facility offenders sentenced up to twelve months.

WV DOC – Southern Regional Jail and Correctional Facility is a regional jail facility that handles the intake from the Fayette County Sheriff's arrests but also from several surrounding counties located at 1200 Airport Rd Beaver, WV. This cooperative prison is funded by all of the counties that hold their detainees and sentenced inmates.

The Southern Regional Jail and Correctional Facility is located in Beaver in Raleigh County. This facility was built in 1994 and serves seven counties in the southeastern part of the state.

Family and friends of WV Division of Corrections inmates may deposit money to inmate trust fund accounts by the following methods:

The Accelerated Parole Program (Policy Directive 454.07) shall be made available to inmates serving a sentence with a parole eligibility date, except sentences of Life with Mercy and Habitual Life. However, this program shall not be available to any inmate to which one or more of the following may apply:

  1. Is serving a sentence for, or has a criminal conviction for, a felony crime of violence against a person.
  2. Is serving a sentence for, or has a felony conviction, involving the use, presentment, or brandishing of a firearm.
  3. Is serving a sentence, or has a felony conviction, for a crime where the victim was a minor child.
  4. Is serving a sentence, or has a felony conviction, for a crime where the crime resulted in the victim's death.
  5. Is serving a sentence for more than one (1) felony conviction for a controlled substance offense on which the inmate is serving a consecutive sentence.
  6. Is serving a sentence on an offense for which there is a mandatory notification period under WV Code Section 62-12-23.
  7. Is presently incarcerated due to parole revocation for a new felony conviction, to WV Code 62-12-19(h).
  8. Is presently incarcerated in another jurisdiction, with a consecutive/concurrent WVDOC sentence.

Non-Contact Visitation Schedule

  • Visitation phone number: Call (304) 256-6738 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on the designated days below.
  • Non-Contact visits are 60 minutes long.
  • You must register at the time you are given when you call to make your visit.
  • You may call one time per day to schedule a visit.
  • If a Holiday falls on a Visitation call day, you will need to call on the prior business day to the Holiday to schedule.
  • Walk-ins are not accepted.
  • Up to three people are allowed per non-contact visit.

  • From Charleston, WV:: Take I-64 E / I-77 S toward Beckley (Toll booths will cost $4.00). Merge Left onto I-64 E towards Lewisburg at the I-64 E / I-77 S split. Merge onto Airport Road / Exit 125B. After ¼ mile, take a right at 1200 Airport Road towards the Southern Regional Jail and Correctional Facility.
  • From Lewisburg, WV:: Take I-64 W toward Beckley. Take the Airport Road Exit / Exit 125. Take a right at the stop sign and proceed onto Airport Road for ¼ mile. Take a right at 1200 Airport Road towards the Southern Regional Jail and Correctional Facility.
