Fights happen in prison just like they happen on the outside. People that tend to snap at little things are always going to be in the middle of fights, especially in higher security prisons where the inmates do not take to disrespect or shows of fear lightly. Inmates involved in fights are often times thrown in the SHU for months at a time. If there are bad injuries to one or more of the inmates, the punishment could be more time added, shipping the inmate to another facility, being subjected to a more restrictive penal system. Fights are something that definitely can be avoided, but if the person tends to get into trouble, you already know the answer...
