I have been in a CCA facility. There are no games there. CCA is a for-profit prison that gets paid to keep their beds full. The rules are the rules and if an inmate breaks them, they will end up in the SHU. Transfers are tricky, CCA is normally a facility that handles overflows from other systems. Sexy pictures are no problem at all. Lingerie and bikini shots are perfectr but no exposed private parts. Do NOT spay perfume on the envelope, they will likely return the letter.

There is no limit to the number of letters an inmate may write or receive. Inmate mail is considered sacred by the prison system. It is highly promoted and even allows indigent inmates unlimited letter writing resources.

There are very few places where it is posted (except maybe in federal). What do you know? Do you know where he is incarcerated. Do you know for how long? Normally the release date is 85% of the imposed sentence.

It is not the easiest thing for an inmate to do unless their spouse files on the outside first. Your inmate would need a lawyer to handle the court filings. For the inmate to do this, he would need to be able to pay for the legal service of filing since he cannot do it for himself. The institution will NOT do this for him, they do not look at this issue seriously.
