what visitation can i expect of the safp-rehab unit?

My husband is in Jefferson County-Beaumont right now. He is going to be moved to a SAFP- rehab unit soon. Can you tell me about those kind of units? What can he expect? What kind of visitation do they have? Can we touch or is it glass and phones/ tubes that we have now? We have a 5 year old that will be coming with me on visits, is there one that does not allow children under a certain age? If he has been in jail sends June 24,14, will that time go towards his rehab of 6 months time? Or does he just loss it? Our lawyer can't answer these questions. I hope yall can.
