Phone numbers purchased through InmateAid are processed overnight and assigned by 7am the following morning depending on where your order falls in the processing queue.
What Happens After You Purchase
Once your order is complete it enters the overnight processing queue. Numbers are assigned and activated in the order they are received. If you purchased early in the day your number will typically be ready by 7am the next morning. If you purchased late in the evening it may take until the following morning's processing cycle.
What to Do Once You Have Your Number
As soon as your number is confirmed your inmate needs to add it to their approved call list at the facility. This is a step only they can initiate from inside. Have them contact their unit officer or case manager to submit the new number for approval as soon as possible since facility approval timelines vary from immediate to several days depending on the institution.
Do not wait until the number is approved to have them submit it. Start the approval process the same day the number arrives.
If You Have Not Received Your Number by 7am
Check your email including your spam folder for the number assignment confirmation. If it has not arrived by mid-morning contact InmateAid at aid@inmateaid.com with your order details and we will look into the status of your assignment.
