Located at 1401 W 17th St in Pueblo, CO, LVCF carefully assigns inmates based on their custody level, considering factors like criminal history. LVCF offers diverse educational and vocational programs aimed at equipping offenders for successful reintegration into society and reducing recidivism. Through these initiatives, inmates gain skills and confidence, fostering personal growth and resilience.

LVCF was established in July 2006, representing a new multi-custody Level III facility within the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC), specifically catering to female inmates. However, legislative changes in July 2020 resulted in a reduction of the bed capacity from 707 to 560. Presently, LVCF comprises three living units with a capacity of 78 beds each, two living units with a capacity of 80 beds each, and Unit 1 and Unit 4 Therapeutic Community, each with 76 beds.

Additionally, LVCF houses 14 general population beds in the Intake Diagnostic Orientation (IDO) unit, along with a 15-bed classification review unit. The facility hosts a diverse classification of female inmates, ranging from minimum to close custody levels. Various services are provided based on housing assignment, including access to a Therapeutic Community, Re-entry services, and an Incentive unit. These offerings aim to address the specific needs of the inmate population and support their rehabilitation and successful reintegration into society.

Inmate Locator

LVCF maintains a database of current inmates and their locations within the system. To locate an inmate, begin by using the DOC locator tool, which requires entering the first three letters of the inmate's first and last name, allowing for variations in spelling.

If unable to locate the desired information through free resources, users may opt to use the Arrest Record Search, which requires payment. While this option incurs a small fee, it provides access to the most up-to-date data available.

Ask The Inmate

Ask a former inmate questions at no charge. The inmate answering has spent considerable time in the federal prison system, state and county jails, and in a prison that was run by the private prison entity CCA. Ask your question or browse previous questions in response to comments or further questions of members of the InmateAid community.
