Located at 611 Edgecombe Ave in New York, NY, ERTF carefully assigns inmates based on their custody level, considering factors like criminal history. ERTF offers diverse educational and vocational programs aimed at equipping offenders for successful reintegration into society and reducing recidivism. Through these initiatives, inmates gain skills and confidence, fostering personal growth and resilience.

Edgecombe RTF, also known as Edgecombe Correctional Facility, operates as a minimum-security correctional facility serving multiple functions including work release, residential treatment, and general confinement. Located in Manhattan, New York, the facility houses parolees participating in the Edgecombe Specialized Chemical Dependence Services program, which offers intensive services for a duration of 10-45 days. This program prepares parolees for reintegration into their communities and engagement in community-based addiction treatment. With a capacity of 110 parolees and an annual service capacity of approximately 1,200 individuals, the facility aims to positively redirect the behavior of parolees at risk of re-incarceration due to non-compliance with parole conditions.

The primary goal of Edgecombe RTF is to engage parolees in developing and implementing community-based parole stabilization plans, thereby facilitating their successful reintegration. This is achieved through a combination of comprehensive treatment services and intensive parole supervision. The facility ensures continuity of care by providing services consistent with treatment and continuing care plans. Core services provided by the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) include security, maintenance, food services, and medical care, as well as meeting religious and spiritual needs.

Moreover, like other correctional facilities, Edgecombe offers a variety of programs aimed at aiding incarcerated individuals. These programs cover a wide range of areas including alcohol and substance abuse treatment, anger management, educational and vocational training, family development, guidance and counseling, library services, recreational activities, religious services, sex offender treatment, temporary release, trauma recovery, transitional services, veterans support, and volunteer services. These programs are designed to support the rehabilitation and successful reintegration of individuals into society upon their release from incarceration.

Inmate Locator

ERTF maintains a database of current inmates and their locations within the system. To locate an inmate, begin by using the DOC locator tool, which requires entering the first three letters of the inmate's first and last name, allowing for variations in spelling.

If unable to locate the desired information through free resources, users may opt to use the Arrest Record Search, which requires payment. While this option incurs a small fee, it provides access to the most up-to-date data available.
