My bf is in for domestic violence and attempted sodomy...if other inmates find out, is he in danger?
It depends on him. If he is in other inmate's business, they will find a way to be in his business. If he keeps to himself and shows the respect he will not encounter any problems. It is when inmates "big deal" themselves which cause others to investigate their charges that you run into issues. Domestic violence charges are not as dangerous as sodomy potentially could be. Our advice, keep your mouth shut.

The parole board denied release specifically because the program has not been completed, the warden and counselor have both acknowledged it is needed, yet enrollment has not happened. The disconnect between what is required and what is being facilitated is a systemic problem worth pushing on directly and persistently.
The first step is for your family member to submit a formal written request to their counselor or case manager, specifically...

If he isn't going to write you, he's the one missing out. You are free to come and go, and since you can't visit - go about your life he...

This is a situation InmateAid was designed to help with, and there is a workable solution even from South Korea.

The solution for overseas situations is to set up a local phone number near the facility that forwards to a...

A lot is happening in this situation and breaking it down piece by piece gives the clearest picture of what to expect.
DVI Tracy is a reception center, which means your husband is still being processed and classified before getting a permanent housing assignment. The mentions of Folsom or Corcoran are significant because both are high-security Level 4 facilities and that designation reflects the validated gang status and current SHU placement.
In California, the term validated means the California Department of Corrections...

Inmates that have money on their inmate trust accounts can purchase stamps and envelopes at the weekly commissary. If they do not have money on their books, the prison will provide indigent inmates with all the materials necessary to send out mail to their loved ones.
