Why talk about a case when the other side can hear what you're saying. If the offender implicates themselves in the conversation, you'll will wish you never spoke on that phone line.

Extra classes DO NOT give sentence reductions unless they are written into State law. County jail time IS definitely considered "time served" and is credited as time on any sentence imposed. From firsthand experience across multiple levels of the system, federal prison stands out as the most professionally run and humane of the three. Federal correctional officers are generally better trained, better compensated, and more consistent in how they apply the rules. The facilities tend to be better maintained and the overall culture is more orderly. State prison varies dramatically depending on the state, the funding available, and the specific facility. Private prisons sit somewhere in the middle and the experience...

Prison Violence
My bf is in for domestic violence and attempted sodomy...if other inmates find out, is he in danger?
It depends on him.…

It depends on him. If he is in other inmate's business, they will find a way to be in his business. If he keeps to himself and shows the respect he will not encounter any problems. The disconnect between what is required and what is being facilitated is a systemic problem worth pushing on directly and persistently. The first step is for your family member to submit a formal written request to their counselor or case manager, specifically...

He was drinking and driving, got stopped and blames you? This sounds like a "him problem". If he is that arrogant to do something wrong and blame another person without taking any responsibility himself, we think it might be a good idea to let him cool off for a while. If he isn't going to write you, he's the one missing out. You are free to come and go, and since you can't visit - go about your life he...

This is a situation InmateAid was designed to help with, and there is a workable solution even from South Korea. The fundamental rule does not change regardless of where you are stationed. Inmates initiate all calls; they cannot receive incoming calls. Your inmate dials out through the facility's phone system and the call routes to whatever number is on their approved list. The solution for overseas situations is to set up a local phone number near the facility that forwards to a...
