Visitation denials can be appealed and the decision on whether to grant an exception rests with the warden's office at the facility. The honest assessment of the odds is roughly 50/50, which means the appeal is genuinely worth pursuing but there are no guarantees regardless of how strong your case appears on paper. The strongest appeals are the ones that tell a complete and documented story rather than just arguing that the denial was unfair. In a situation where a felony...

Being on probation does not automatically disqualify you from visiting someone held at an immigration detention facility but it does add a layer of complexity that requires careful handling before you show up at the door. Pending Criminal Charges
Can You Be Arrested for a Warrant While Visiting Jail?
Yes, absolutely.…

Yes, absolutely. This is one of the most important things anyone with an active warrant needs to understand before walking into a correctional facility for any reason. Jails and prisons are law enforcement environments. Every visitor goes through an identification check before being allowed in and that check runs your information against warrant databases. It does not matter whether the warrant is from another county, whether it is for a misdemeanor, or whether you have made repeated good faith efforts to...

Probably not, but these decisions are determined on a case-by-case basis. Normally, the rule is that felons cannot be approved for visitation unless there is a solid reason or if the relation is inner-circle family members. You will need to contact the counselor, unit team manager or case manager at the detention center to get the information on what you'll have to go through to get approved.

Visitation
Can a Spouse See the Visitor List for an Inmate in Prison?
No.…

No. A spouse does not have access to another inmate's visitor list or visitation records. That information is considered private to the inmate and the facility, and it is not shared with outside parties, regardless of the relationship. The facility maintains visitation records for security and administrative purposes, but those records are not available to spouses, family members, or anyone else on the outside through a standard request. Even being legally married does not grant access to an inmate's personal records...

You do not need to remove sewn-in hair extensions or weaves to visit a correctional facility. Permanently attached hair additions are not something facilities require visitors to remove before entry. What you should be aware of is that corrections officers conducting entry searches have the authority to inspect hair thoroughly, including running their hands through extensions or along the scalp, if they have reason to believe contraband could be concealed. This is not routine for every visitor, but it is within...
