Mail is considered sacred in a prison, detention center or jail. The facilities do everything can in their power to make communication available to all inmates. You are correct in that a lot of them are forgotten and get no mail at all. It is really great that you are reaching out and making some connections. If you were discharged with probation time (paper), then a violation would trigger a warrant for your arrest issued by the judge who sentenced you originally and sworn out by your probation officer. If you are not on paper, the warrant must pertain to something different than a probation violation.

You daughter violated her probation, she will be designated to the facility of their choosing.
