There are plenty of cases where the warden will act in the best interest of the family and grant you a visit. Your charge is going to be a big factor so keep that in mind as you patiently, humbly and politely ask for a waiver.

Prop 57 releases must go through an application process and get approval. There are no "automatic releases" from Prop 57. The inmate must go to their counselor and ask if they are eligible. If they are eligible, the counselor knows the forms to submit. The process takes weeks.

It depends on the court written Judgement and Commitment Order.  There is no general rule as there are varying degrees of offenses and it is entirely up to the sentencing judge and the facility as to how to handle the visitation. We think that unless there are grievous circumstances surrounding the crime, the court would like inmates to remain connected to their familes wherever possible.

He definitely knows - the ONE thing for sure is that an inmate knows the exact date they re to be released, there is nothing more important to an inmate than the day they are leaving. If the release date is "unknown", that means there are other forces in the way like potential new/old charges pending which keeps their release in question.
