“Ask the Inmate” is not a direct communication link to a particular inmate; it is a question and answer forum between you and a former inmate who knows how things work on the inside. To communicate, you can write letters, postcards or send photos - you will have to go to your My Account area and click on the Inmate Page and then click "Letters". You will be able to communicate with them through there.

Yes they can. Inmates do not have access to the Internet. They send you the letter through our service - we receive them, scan them and place them in your My Account area for retrieval. This service is beneficial for people who want their home address private.

Most facilities have rules regarding books. Some have no limit, others do not. The most prevailing arrangement is that they allow an inmate to receive as many books as they want, but they must store the majority of them in the facility library. Storage is not plentiful in the living quarters but they encourage reading and self-improvement. Books and education are the best "escapes" for an inmate.
