The Federal Correctional Institution Satellite Prison Camp, Sheridan (FCI Sheridan Camp) is a minimum-security United States federal prison for male inmates in Oregon. Opened in 1989, it is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the US Department of Justice. Inmates at the camp are housed in dormitories, which are divided into four-person cubicles.
Health Services: Sick call, dental call, physical examinations, emergency care, medications, and testing for infectious diseases are available at all the facilities. Inmates are assigned to a specific health care provider who treats them for the duration of their stay. Emergency medical care is available 24 hours a day.
Psychology Services: A psychologist is available at all facilities to diagnose, provide therapy services, and evaluate prisoners. Regular group therapy classes include anger management, stress management, HIV/AIDS awareness, and criminal thinking.
Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP): Both FCI Sheridan Camp offers a Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP). Drug Education programs, the Non-Residential Drug Abuse Program (NR-DAP), and Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) are also available.
Education Services: FCI Sheridan Camp provides GED and English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) programs to inmates. Parenting and Adult Continuing Education (ACE) programs are also available. High school diplomas and post-secondary programs are available through paid correspondence programs.
Advanced Occupational Education: FCI Sheridan Camp offer advanced occupational education programs in Basic Woodworking, Building Trades, Desktop Publisher, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Word 2, and Quickbooks. The camp also offers Computer-Aided Design and Landscape Design.
Vocational Training: FCI Sheridan Camp offers vocational training in Google Sketchup, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint Publisher, Microsoft Word, Personal Fitness Trainer, and Quickbooks. The camp also offers vocational training in Basic Horticulture and Pesticide Applications.
Apprenticeship: FCI Sheridan Camp offers apprenticeships in Baking, Barber, Building Maintenance, Cabinet Worker, Call Center Clerk, Cook, Landscape Management Technician, Office Management Clerk, Plumber, Sanitation Technician, Solar Technician, and Wood Turning Lathe Operator. The camp offers apprenticeships in Career Clerk, Dental Assistant, Farmworker, and Landscape Technician. Both facilities offer apprenticeships in Electrical, HVAC, Personal Fitness Trainer, and Teacher Aide.
Library Services: A leisure and law library at FCI Sheridan Camp are available for inmate use. The leisure library offers fiction and nonfiction books, magazines, and newspapers. The law library contains a variety of legal reference materials for use in preparing legal papers. Reference materials include the United States Code Annotated, Federal Reporter, Supreme Court Reporter, Bureau of Prisons program statements, institution supplements, indexes, and other legal materials. Most of these are available on the TRULINCS Electronic Law Library. The law library also houses typewriters and a copy machine.
Commissary: The Commissary Card is also an identification card. If an inmate leaves the housing unit, they must have the Commissary/I.D. Card in their possession. The monthly spending limit is $360. Inmates can purchase a wide variety of items from the commissary. Inmates can only shop once a week in the commissary on their designated shopping day.
Recreation Services: A wide variety of recreational activities are offered at FCI Sheridan. Sports and games are offered, including softball, flag football, soccer, volleyball, handball, racquetball, and basketball. Fitness equipment, a hobby shop, and a central Recreation Area with ping pong tables, exercise equipment, and band room are also available at FCI Sheridan and the camp. In the main prison, games (e.g. dominoes) are on the unit, and there is also an Inmate Photo Program.

We remind all visitors to carefully review our special visiting procedures during the COVID pandemic, and also remind all visitors to observe applicable state and local COVID travel restrictions in planning your visit to the institution.
All visitors will be temperature checked with results annotated at the screening site prior to entrance. All staff working the screening site will be in proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Visitors will be in-processed on a first come first serve basis, adhering to social-distancing requirements. If distancing requirements cannot be met, visitors may be asked to wait outside for systematic in-processing to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Inmates on quarantine or isolation status will not be permitted visits - it will be the visitor's responsibility to check with the institution prior to arrival to ensure the scheduled visit can still take place.
The visiting room is designed to maximize social distancing, with a minimum of six feet between persons. Inmates are permitted two visitors per visit. To ensure equal opportunities, the frequency of visits determines any termination. Appropriate face coverings are mandatory for all inmates and visitors, all visitors wearing a mask will be provided one by the institution, theirs will be secured in the lockers in the lobby. No physical contact, photographs, food, or drink is permitted. A hand hygiene station, including alcohol-based hand sanitizer, is available at all visiting entrances and exits. Orderlies are assigned to each visitation room and will continually sanitize all touch surfaces, restrooms, etc.
